This striking two-color relief print presents a stout, self-possessed pig rendered in bold cobalt blue against a warm cream ground. The animal stands in confident profile at the composition's center, its solid silhouette anchoring a lush, decorative field of oversized sunflowers that radiate outward in every direction — above, beside, and below, as though the barnyard itself is in full bloom in honor of its subject.

The sunflowers are drawn with an expressive, almost ceremonial quality: thick, slashing petals and bold concentric-circle centers that echo the graphic language of folk art and ancient talismanic symbols. Their scale rivals the pig's own, suggesting that this is no ordinary animal among ordinary flowers — this is a creature of consequence.

The hand-torn deckled edges of the paper ground the work in a handmade intimacy, while a small artist's chop mark in the lower left corner quietly signs the work with the confidence of someone who needed no further announcement.

There is a joyful solemnity here. The pig does not perform. It simply is — oracular, unhurried, rooted in the earth and crowned by the sun.
